Preservatives
Preservatives protect the integrity and effectiveness of ingredients in a product. Our preservative combination, Phenoxyethanol and EDTA is used at 1% or less.
Parabens
Parabens are preservatives. The most common are Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Ethylparaben, Benzylparaben, Isobutylparaben, and Butylparaben. According to an EPA study parabens displayed estrogenic activity in several tests, which means the chemicals mimic your body's own hormones and can have endocrine-disrupting action. Parabens are a widely used preservative and are found in food, pharmaceuticals, deodorants, and cosmetics.

Cucumber + Cranberry Masque Cucumber soothes and calms irritated skin. Cranberry has anti-bacterial, antioxidant, anti-microbial properties from the high level of naturally occurring proanthocyanidins (condensed tannins). Cranberries are considered a “superfruit” because of their nutrient content and antioxidant properties. Cranberries are a source of polyphenol antioxidants, which is a type of antioxidant containing a polyphenolic substructure. These antioxidants are believed to be influential in combating oxidative stress. Polyphenol antioxidants scavenge free radicals and result in reduction of inflammation. Our multi-purpose Masques can be used as a hydrating masque or a light moisturizer. It works wonderfully under the eyes and all over the face and neck. As a masque, leave on five to twenty minutes, then rinse. For skin types: Mature, Sensitive, Dry, Normal, and Combination. 95% Organic Content.
